LiveSeeding General Meeting: Three-Day Recap

The Liveseeding General Meeting has come to a successful close. OIKOS SEEDS actively participating alongside other partners of the program. These three days were filled with energy, discussions, workshops, and reflections. The primary goal promoting innovation in organic farming and biodiversity conservation.

Day 1: A Dynamic Start

The first day marked the beginning of the program’s third year. We discussed the progress made so far, with a focus on on-farm screenings and case studies that promote organic seed cultivation. The workshops and discussions around the Living Labs were highly inspiring. There was a vibrant exchange of ideas on improving organic farming practices.

Day 2: Strategies for Growth and Collaboration

The second day centered around developing dissemination strategies and strengthening collaborations with other networks. Attention was also given to the exploitation plans of #LiveSeeding and enhancing the program’s impact. We closely examined EU policy developments and political dialogue opportunities to support organic plant breeding.

Day 3: Entrepreneurship and Policy Developments

The third and final day was dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and developing business models. Parallel sessions covered topics such as plant health requirements, European Plant Passports, and organic vegetable seed production, as well as urban food policies and the interoperability of IT tools. The day concluded with updates on policy developments and our next steps forward.

A big thank you to our partner Rete Semi Rurali ETS for hosting and organizing such a successful event. We look forward to our next General Meeting in Germany, where we will continue our exciting journey in advancing organic farming!
